Plot : The Village Barbershop is a comedy drama about a fading smalltime barber who is forced to hire a woman in his shop much to his chagrin. Arthur Leroldi (John Ratzenberger) has been running a barber shop for thirty years but after the death of his partner, Enzo, Arthur is at the brink of bankruptcy. While Arthur is struggling to pay the bills, the landlord Jacobi (Amos Glick), is ready to rent out the shop to a higher paying tenant. In response to Arthur’s advertisement for a new barber, the best applicant turns out to be a broke, spit fire, Gloria (Shelly Cole), who is homeless as well as pregnant having broken up with her boyfriend. An unusual story of two unlikely people meeting at the unlikeliest place.
