LOCAL families registered with the Palliative Care program will soon be able to access another service offered by the Hume Palliative Care consultancy team.
Volunteer workers already trained to work with people with a life threatening illness attended a memoir training workshop at Villa Maria in Wangaratta last week.
The memoir writer will be able to record the life story of someone in the palliative care program, and it will be recorded, typed up, bound and presented to the storyteller.
Ovens and King Community Health Service has engaged Anne Williams, a local palliative care nurse, to facilitate the memoir writing training session so that clients can record their life story as a legacy for their families.
