A suicide bomber wearing a vest packed with explosives has killed 15 people in a town near Baghdad.

More than a dozen people were wounded in the blast at Muqdadiya, 90km (55 miles) north-east of Iraq's capital.

The attack in the volatile Diyala province targeted a Concerned Local Citizens group.

The groups are an alliance of clans which have sided with US forces and the Iraqi government in order to try to reclaim Iraqi provinces from al-Qaeda.
