A FEEDLOT in Milawa has been ordered to improve its odor and waste management in its second notice from the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) for the year.

Alloa Pastoral Company was yesterday issued with the pollution notice for its Robinsons Lane property, following a similar order from the EPA in February.

EPA regional manager, Ann Telford, said the latest notice required the company to introduce measures to eliminate odors from the site, plus manage waste and stormwater run off.

"The pollution abatement notice requires these improvements within 30 days," she said.

"At that time the existing notice for stormwater management will be revoked.

"We have taken this action as we are not satisfied that the agreement reached with the company last February has achieved the compliance or co-operation that we were seeking."

Ms Telford said the EPA continued to receive pollution complaints relating to smell and officers had confirmed offensive odors beyond the boundary of the premises
