How I’ve put my wife into SVN

My wife uses AutoCAD. She is a student of architecture.

I’m a software-developer. I love my wife very much. I get crazy when she doesn’t backup her files.

Here’s what I did:

1. Created a project in Google-Code
2. Installed TortoiseSVN and checked-out a folder for that project
3. Installed SVN-Monitor as a front-end to the Tortoise

Anyway, my wife just needs to right-click that icon, and:

Conclusion

This is what my wife got:

1. As long as she keeps committing, her files are always backed-up.
2. Her files are versioned. She now has a history of modifications.
3. She can access her files from anywhere, through Google-Code.

This is what I got:

1. A wife under-control.
2. A committed wife.
3. I can proudly say that my wife is using SVN.
4. An extra QA-Engineer for my SVN-Monitor.
