IRVING, Texas (Reuters) - The Tennessee Titans were poised to release controversial cornerback Adam 'Pacman' Jones on Wednesday after agreeing in principle to trade him to the Dallas Cowboys.
Final details are still being worked out and Jones must pass a physical before the trade will be finalized, the Titans said on their official website (www.titansonline.com).
Jones was suspended 12 months ago for the entire 2007 season for engaging in off-the-field conduct detrimental to the league.
He has been arrested six times since he entered the NFL in 2005 and was implicated in a triple shooting at a Las Vegas strip club during the 2007 NBA All-Star weekend.
Jones was charged in June last year with two counts of felony coercion and in December he pleaded no contest in Las Vegas to conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct.
