It’s Independence Day weekend, and as people all across the US enjoy barbecues and fireworks, the top web companies are marking the occasion in their own ways: through custom logos and themes.
While Google (
) frequently changes its logo to mark specific events – both in the US and internationally – the Independence Day celebration was also marked by custom logos from web goliaths AOL and Yahoo (
). MSN changed its entire header to include the Stars and Stripes plus a fireworks display, while Ask.com was in the rare position of being able to customize its entire site design; a piece of July 4th artwork was chosen.
