The Service Women’s Action Network (SWAN) promotes personal and social transformation for a peaceful world
The Service Women’s Action Network supports and develops the leadership of veterans, mentors young women considering military service, works to solve problems facing women in uniform, and provides and promotes services that are healing to women after their military service experience
It is a crucial time for women in the military
• With over 155,000 women currently serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.
• 15% of our military service personnel are women.
• The current VA system provides limited services specified for women
SWAN’s goal is to build a national network, reach out to military service women, and raise awareness about the issues women in the military face. SWAN would like to reach women from all walks of life
